Illinois School District Vision Services

Certified TVI & Orientation and Mobility Services for Illinois School Districts

House of Light partners with Illinois school districts to place licensed Teachers of the Visually Impaired and Orientation & Mobility specialists, helping districts provide timely, IEP-compliant support for students who are blind or visually impaired.

The Challenge

The staffing gap your district cannot ignore

Districts are required to provide specialized services to students with visual impairments, yet qualified TVIs and O&M specialists are difficult to find. When services are delayed, students lose critical instructional time and districts face increased compliance pressure.

  • Students wait months for services they are legally entitled to receive.
  • IEPs go unfulfilled, increasing compliance and legal exposure.
  • Families lose confidence in the district’s ability to support their child.
  • Staff without specialized training are asked to fill gaps they are not equipped to fill.
